Facilities

  • LANGUAGE LAB or The Educational technology  (ET) lab:
  • Students use the laboratory at least once in a week according to the fixation of the time-table. The main objective is to develop the communicative skills of our student teachers and to use Internet for an expanded knowledge in the field

  • WELL EQUIPPED SCIENCE LAB:  “Experiment without theory is blind and theory without experiment is lame”. The students are taken to the lab for their practical classes to imbibe them with the scientific facts to surpass in their field of teaching.  The lab has enough equipment for all the three science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and The lab has got 10 computer systems with head phones including the mother board system which is the  prime source to the other systems. The lab is fully furnished to accommodate at least 20 students at a time. D.El.Ed students Biology under one single roof
  • PHYSICAL EDUCATION ROOM:In order to retain their energy level and to maintain a balanced physique they are forced to play on the play grounds. Both in-door and out-door games are played. Various gym equipments in the physical Education room are used by the students every day evening during the last hour. Additionally we imbibe the students with ‘health education’ also
  • EDUSAT ROOM:  The Installed hall is air conditioned and can accommodate at least 500 people at a time. According to the program schedule for this academic year (2016 to 2017) given by the e SCERT, Chennai our students are made to sit for their lessons handled by the Experts of SCERT. Our Authorities have a lively talk with The Principal, faculty members and the students
  • PSYCHOLOGY LAB :   Educational  psychology pays due emphasis over practical work besides the theoretical insight into the subjects. Practical work in the form of Psy. Experiments related to class room problems of teachers and administrative aspects. We have enough Psychological equipments for  the purpose
  • Library:   The Library in our Campus seems to be the treasure world of Books. There are nearly 2500 to 3000 books (all subjects, Magazines, General knowledge books, journals, dailies, etc) available in the library.  Students are permitted to take books with the due date of entry. Students are allowed to get into the library during the last hour of the day

Events

  • NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS) :   REGULAR ACTIVITIES:    50 Volunteers (25 first yr and 25 second year students)      SPECIAL CAMP (7 DAYS):  25 Volunteers   ( 25  second year students)

         REGULAR ACTIVITIES :  Once in a month  an activity is done either inside the campus or outside the  campus by celebrating almost all special days like  Women's Day, AIDS Day, Vanamahotsava , National voters day, Anti Terrorism Day, International Yoga day, Teachers Day, World  Literacy Day, Traffic awareness day and so on conducted for an awareness. National festivals like Gandhi Jayanthi, Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated in a grand manner. Apart from this Campus Cleaning (once in a fortnight) and regular gardening work is done  
    SPECIAL CAMP:  NSS unit will be chosen for the camping and we retain the same unit for three consecutive three years.  Community survey the foremost activity on the first day of the camp, Campus cleaning (TTI Institute) –white washing the campus  (wash rooms and the compound wall), Institute's drinking water tank is cleaned, cleaning the Almighty's abode (the nearby Shiva Temple), Volunteering for the popular Car Festival of The Koniamman Temple  and various Awareness  programmes would be conducted by inviting experts from various resources, Rally would be conducted,  a lively demo would be shown for Self employment for the jobless women in the unit, Primary /High school in the unit will be visited where Height and weight of the children  is taken in order to find out kids with malnutrition, small kitchen  garden is made , saplings are planted where necessary, rhymes are taught using the teaching aids , sports conducted and the prizes are distributed , Yoga, Moral values  are taught, Camp Fire and cultural programmes are conducted every day in the camp. Safety and First Aid education is given to our volunteers by the Indane Safety Clinic with the a lively demo about the usage of LPG Gas cylinders and the stove

  • FIELD TRIP  : The Institute arranges for Field Trip as a part of inculcating environmental awareness and to update the knowledge of various subjects taught to the student teachers
  • Guides CAMP : All the student teachers are members of  the Guides group and an annual camp is organised every year
